Using Omniscope with Salesforce

Bring the Sales, Service and other 'clouds' to your desktop

Omniscope is the only 'hybrid' desktop/web visualisation and presentation application therefore the perfect compliment to cloud-based computing platform solutions like Salesforce. Multi-tabbed, multi-view Omniscope presentation files contain all the data, formula-based spreadsheet logic & calculations and up to 16 different visualisations, including maps, images and exportable Flash DataPlayer 'dashboards' - all interactive offline. The direct connector found in activated (and free trial) Omniscopes adds many new offline/online dimensions to solutions based on Salesforce. Our certified, AppExchange-listed free web connector tab makes on-demand refreshed reports accessible via the free Viewer, and provides sub-tabs where Flash DataPlayer 'dashboards' can be displayed from within the permissioned Salesforce security model.

Why use Omniscope with Salesforce?

  • Download Reports as up-to-the minute, highly-visual, tabbed, interactive and refreshable presentations,
  • Export interactive Flash DataPlayers to web tabs also visible through Omniscope Web Views,
  • Add custom formulae/alerts, links, maps and images to portable offline presentations,
  • Download and de-duplicate/harmonise variants in your Data Objects,
  • Add/edit data in Data Objects offline in Omniscope,
  • Synchronise user-editable changes with your Salesforce Data Objects when online,
  • Perform unlimited, multi-criteria joins using Salesforce Data Objects,
  • Merge large non-Salesforce data sets with Salesforce data,
  • Apply multiple layers of access control and data security to offline files

Unlike local desktop spreadsheet files, Omniscope files offer many file security options that increase any organisation's ability to control access to sensitive CRM data. Not only can data not be copied or cut-and-pasted from owner-locked Omniscope files, but if the owner has saved the Omniscope file to require server-based authentication and/or domain-locking, even ex-employees whose login credentials ahave been revoked will not be able to open local copies of Omniscope files they may have saved or forwarded.

The Omniscope direct connector dramatically aids data migration and facilitates on-going data quality initiatives crucial to the success of Salesforce. Exportable Flash DataPlayer 'dashboards' and free read/query-only refresh-on demand Omniscope Viewers dramatically reduce the average cost/seat of deploying highly-visual, granular and synchronised online/offline data integration and business intelligence reporting for Salesforce.
