Developers - Advanced Java GUI and ActionScript 3 specialists

We are always seeking the very best, leading-edge Java developers with at least 5 years experience in Swing and the capabilities to do the advanced Java GUI on the desktop programming you see exemplified in Omniscope. Attention ActionScript specialists - the Flash DataPlayer generation engine of Omniscope has now been updated to ActionScript 3. We are always interested in speaking with leading-edge ActionScript specialists with extensive object-oriented, componentised structured programming (ideally Java) experience to help us take our award-winning DataPlayer Flash technology to the next level.

Omniscope Software Support & QA/Tester

We are also seeking a highly-motivated, non-developer with experience in end-user software testing and client-facing support. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and testing of our flagship Omniscope application and related Flash DataPlayer features. Responsibilities will include supervising the 'triage' of all incoming issues, resolving most and prioritising and escalating the more technical/complex issues appropriately. You will monitor and respond to questions on the online user forums,  compile, route and track incoming bug reports and escalated phone contacts, while administering our online documentation, user forums and the internal ‘bugs' list.

You do not have to be a 'techie'. This is a generalist role for candidates accustomed to working with computers and interested in being thoroughly trained in all aspects of business user data manipulation, analysis, presentation and publishing, including creating Omniscope and DataPlayer files for demos and training. You are probably very advanced in your knowledge of Excel, and other MS Office and open source/online productivity suite applications. A basic knowledge of leading relational database configuration for testing and connectivity trouble-shooting support would be a plus. Some knowledge of adding and administering content on web pages using a CMS would also be useful. A very rigorous logical mind and fanatical attention to detail essential. This is a full-time position with an initial six-months contract. Starting salary £28,000 subject to review after 3 months.

Omniscope Commercial/Admin Support

This position involves managing phone/e-mail enquiries from customers and distributors, providing initial contact/first line support for common issues, managing the billing and collections process and many other internal commercial processes using Omniscope. Opportunity for eventual promotion to Omniscope trainer, Salesperson or Support desk. This is a full-time position with an initial six-months contract. Starting salary £24,000 subject to review after 3 months.
