Sharing style presets across multiple accounts/machines

Standardising look and feel of style presets across your organisation

From version 2.6, it is possible to share application style presets among multiple users throughout your organisation.

The style must be defined and saved from: Style: Application styles > Edit (or Ctrl+L)

Saving style presets and sharing with other users

Once finalised and saved in your own installation, you can export the saved style settings in a portable XML file by clicking on

Style: Edit style pre-sets > {Edit modes} Tools (at bottom) > Export....
Note: the exported file MUST be named LayoutModes.xml

To share your pre-sets with other installations, copy your exported LayoutModes.xml to all the users' accounts/machines, in the \branding subdirectory (which is also used to customise the appearance of the Omniscope application Omniscope itself, not just branding the files) for corporate installs. The location of the \branding subdirectory varies by operating system. Please note that certain operating system files folders may be hidden by default, so you may need to show them to see certain folders.

Omniscope installed for local user accounts

If Omniscope has been installed for local users only then you will need to do the steps below for each user account manually on the machine.

Windows XP: copy LayoutModes.xml file to the following location:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Visokio Omniscope app\branding

If the XP \branding folder doesn't exist already then you will need to create it manually.

Windows Vista/7: copy LayoutModes.xml to the following location:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Visokio Omniscope app

Omniscope installed for all user accounts

Windows XP: copy LayoutModes.xml file to the following location.

C:\Program Files\Visokio Omniscope\branding

Windows Vista/7: copy LayoutModes.xml to the following location:

(Note: Omniscope 32/64-bit share the same installation directory)
