Known Activation IssuesKnown Activation IssuesThis page tracks known Omniscope activation and upgrade issues. Activating in 32 and 64-bitIf you activate a 32-bit version of Omniscope, and you wish to install a 64-bit version, you must first de-activate your key, install the 64-bit version and then reactivate.
Upgrading 2.4 to 2.5There are currently no known issues
Reverting from 2.5 to 2.4If you are reverting from 2.5 to 2.4 you will notice that in 2.4 you are no longer activated. You will need to go to Help > Product Licensing and Activation and then click on Activate. Your existing key should already be shown in the activation dialog and all you have to do is click on Activate.Version 2.4 64-bit Java PVM UpgradeThe 32-bit version of 2.4 installs with Java 6 update 4. The 64-bit verson of 2.4 orginally installed with Java version version 6 update 6 as PVM. The PVM should be updated to version 6 update 10. This has been fixed in the 64-bit full installer of version 2.4 build 274 and above.
Upgrading from 2.2 or 2.3 to 2.5You must de-activate your license prior to upgrading and then activate again using 2.5 build. Upgrading 2.3 to 2.4There are currently no known issues Reverting from version 2.4 to 2.3If you are reverting your Omniscope 2.4 installation to Omniscope 2.3 installation it is important that you deactivate your license prior to installing version 2.3. If you are upgrading from Omniscope 2.3 to Omniscope 2.4 then this does not apply and you do not need to deactivate prior to upgrading.
