New in Omniscope 2.5

Visokio's latest release of Omniscope, version 2.5, is our biggest leap forward to date, bringing 3 powerful new views, simpler tabs interface, dramatic visual modes, cleaner toolbars, richer formula functions, and many minor enhancements and fixes. See full list.

Upgrading to activated Editions

The free Viewer download above can be converted to a fully-functional authoring Edition when activated with a license key. If you already have a license key, install the free Viewer first, then enter your license key on the welcome screen. All free Viewer download includes a free 30-day trial of Professional with Flash DataPlayer creation capabilities. At the end of the free trail, the installation reverts to a free Viewer, no need to uninstall. Note: the activated Mac version is still experimental and with limitations.

Editions available

Activated Omniscopes for authoring your own files are available in Professional, and Enterprise Editions. A comparison of features by edition is available here. For information on pricing, bundles and volume discounts, or to request an Enterprise trial license key, please contact us.

Software updates

Maintenance releases with bug fixes and minor enhancements are made available free and annual licenses include all upgrades and support for the year. To be notified automatically whenever updates are available, leave the Help menu option Automatically check for updates ticked, the default setting and ensure that your firewall does not block access to our servers at services.visokio.com port 80.

Existing users

If you have previously activated, you can upgrade your software installation (without affecting your existing license) by installing over your existing installation using the latest installers available above. Skipping versions to upgrade? Read this first. You may de-activate a license to remove it and transfer to a new or rebuilt PC up to 3 times. See licensing terms for more information.

Technical details

Omniscope is a Java desktop application for in-memory data visualisation. The default "full" Windows installer includes a private copy of Java which (if needed) is installed alongside Omniscope, isolated from other installed applications.

If you already have Java 5 or later, or have previously installed Omniscope, you can select the lightweight Windows download. Using the latest version of Java is highly recommended - download here.

Omniscope .IOK/.IOM files are a highly compressed format for distributing your data, filters, views and reports.

Publishable .IOK files can be opened on a read/query-only basis using the free Viewer, while shareable .IOM Workgroup Edition files can be opened only with other activated Omniscopes.
