Using Omniscope, anyone can create dynamic, interactive DataPlayers from six basic view templates- with just a few clicks. Each of the view types permits information to be displayed and filtered in different ways. Almost everything about each DataPlayer is configurable, and each view type can be altered in various ways to serve almost any purpose.
Bar View DataPlayers
Bar View DataPlayers provide quick comparative overviews of the data set contained in the DataPlayer, and can be configured such that users can select the field (column) of data and the category used to split the valus. In the example below, the data set contains (among others) a column listing the number of Appearances This Season each player has made, split by player Surname.

Pie View DataPlayers
Pie View DataPlayers are perfect for reporting dashboards...they provide compact, user-selectable breakdowns, with granular details (with images and links) for any given subset of the data only one click away.

Graph View DataPlayers
Graph View DataPlayers allow users to grasp relationships between two columns in your data, then make selections and drill-down to details based on plotted visualisations. The example below graphs two different sources for end-of-day bond prices, highlighting discrepancies between the two sources; FTIDC Mid and ISMA Mid.

Table View DataPlayers
Table View DataPlayers can be used to make extremely space-efficient lists or ‘catalogues’ with an expandable tabular layout. They can be configured to allow users to sort and colour rows or change the columns displayed, and each line can expand to show details, images and links. Ideal for displaying large ranges of products on fewer pages of space-constrained websites.

Tile View DataPlayers
Tile View DataPlayers can be used in two modes; image mosaic mode, where each tile is a re-sized image, or 'heat map' mode, where the tiles are sized and coloured to provide a relative overview. Image mosaic Tile Views are perfect for interactive product selectors that permit visitors to navigate complex trade-offs to find candidate products...like having a virtual sales-person at their elbow. No dynamic web page scripting or online product database development or maintenance required!

Map View DataPlayers
Map View DataPlayers are used to add location and relative positioning information to online displays, such that users can query by location...using just a mouse. Make Map View DataPlayers for the web using any of three types of maps:
- Freely-downloadable Omniscope vector maps, available from the Maps Library
- Online Google Maps overlays- sometimes called 'mash-ups'
- Scanned image backgrounds, such as sports fields or retailer floor plans
Vector maps- Omniscope includes free, multi-layer vector maps (world, country & city) for creating DataPlayers with rich geographical representations with configurable layers and vector zooming. Map View DataPlayers permit users to filter records by dragging the mouse to select their area of interest. Click for details on selected items.
